Woodruff helps to decrease swelling (inflammation) and kill germs. Beneficial as a gentle sedative and the fresh leaves, bruised and applied to cuts and wounds, is said to have a healing effect. It is also said to be useful for removing biliary obstructions of the liver. Has aromatic, antispasmodic, slightly sedative, cordial, diuretic, stomachic, and depurative properties.
